Overview[]

The fairies are a group of winged, magical entities who reside on The Enchanted Island. They often use wands to cast magic spells, but are sometimes able to use potions and other means.

Notable Fairies[]

In addition to Twinkle, the Fairy Queen, and the Grand Fairy, there are some others that stand out in the series.

Twinkle's Friends[]

The only two fairies in the whole of Enchanted Island who are described as Twinkle's friends in the show, and treat her with kindness despite her being an outcast. As a result they have a pretty strong relationship. They cry together, dance together, have picnics and parties, and hug each other often when seen together. They also do things like bring her cake every year on Fairy Day so she won't feel so sad, and help clean up messes so the Queen won't find out. In return, she helps retrieve their colors when they're sapped away or helps turn their loved ones back to normal.

Isabella in Unicorn Lady

Isabella/Belinda[]

A fairy with black eyes, red lips, and reddish hair in a side bun, who wears a white, ruffled dress with matching pants underneath and white shoes. Her first and most notable appearance is in "Unicorn Lady" where her fiance, Stephan, is transformed into a unicorn by a witch who envies lovers. She's also shown to be on her way to bring Twinkle a slice of cake when she's turned into a statue. Despite initially being called "Isabella" in the first season, in the second season episode, "Fairy Snatchers", Twinkle calls her "Belinda".

Fairy Speaker in the Golden Wand

Fairy Speaker/Green Glasses Fairy/"Balabet"?[]

A fairy with short, messy black hair with a white hair accessory; lipstick, green lens glasses, a puffy pink dress, and white boots. In her first episode, "The Golden Wand", she's called the "Fairy Speaker" and serves a background role as an announcer during the Golden Wand competition. Here she was willing to follow the Queen's orders to "frogify" Twinkle and her friends. Later appearances however give her a more positive role as one of Twinkle's fairy friends alongside Isabella/Belinda. She's never given a name in her role as Twinkle's friend, however, in "Turnips and Old Lace" her model is called Balabet, and is secretly a witch along with her sister, "Balaba". Though it's most likely these are two different characters in-universe since Twinkle doesn't react to her as expected.

Mean Fairies[]

A trio of snobbish, rude fairies who often bully Twinkle and look forward to her getting into trouble with their Queen, like in "A Robot at the Fairies". There, Ruby distinctly separates them from the "good fairies". They're also frequently seen alongside the Queen and may have higher statuses as her attendants/bodyguards. This seems to be the case in episodes like "The Dark Unicorn" where the Queen calls for them by name to help with something. Despite their roles, they do appear to care for the Queen in a small, personal way. In "Romancing the Opal", they looked sad when the Queen went back to obsessing over her opal after her breakup with Dr. X. The trio can also be rather finicky to a fault, such as when they tamper with Twinkle's potion in "Super 3" because it has things the Queen doesn't like, or in "The Dark Unicorn" they refuse to escape through the secret passageway because of vermin crawling in there.

Lorella/Gloria[]

Lorella in the Golden Wand

A fairy with black eyes, lipstick, blonde hair in a bun with a heart accessory, a fuchsia and pink dress, with a matching choker and shoes. She's the Queen's head fairy as mentioned in "The Golden Wand". This is probably why she can be quite stuck up and isn't above calling people "loser" or smirking when her own "friends" fail at a challenge, showing her competitive nature. She can also be rather aggressive such as threatening to turn Fourchesac into a toad in "I'm the King", or turning Rock Brock into a sunflower for speaking ill to the Queen in "The King's Jubilee". Of the three she's the most outspoken.

Donella in I'm the King

Donella/"Balaba"?[]

A fairy with blue eyes, lipstick, black hair in two buns with a blue bow, a layered blue dress with a matching choker and shoes. Despite not being as outspoken as Lorella/Gloria, some episodes do give her a role outside of the trio. In "Move It" she serves as an advisor to the Queen, then later as a guardian of the Golden Spellbook in Sabotage. She may not be as aggressive as Lorella/Gloria as she didn't sneer at her friend when she was disqualified in "The Golden Wand". In one episode, "Turnips and Old Lace", she's called "Balaba" and is sisters with one of Twinkle's friends, who's called "Balabet". However, these are most likely different characters with the same models as they turn out to be witches in disguise.

Rosalba in Robot at the Fairies

Rosalba[]

A fairy with green eyes, lipstick, long scarlet hair styled in ringlets with a white feather accessory; wearing a green and white dress shaped like giant flower, a green choker, and white shoes. She's rarely seen on her own and is perhaps the least developed of the trio. She may also be the weakest with magic since in "The Golden Wand" she's the first to be disqualified. However, what she lacks in magic might be made up in physical prowess as she's the one who races against Dr. X's robot in "Sabotage". Rosalba may also be the least mean to Twinkle as she's the one who reaches out to her when the Queen goes missing in "'Enchanted Jungle". That, or she was more worried about the Queen's safety than Twinkle's status.

Others[]

Alba[]

Alba in Gene, Technoexplorer Part 3

A fairy that looks very similar to the Fairy Speaker, only she's blond, doesn't have glasses, wears a dark pink version of Rosalba's dress with a yellow sash, and her boots are yellowish. Her only noteworthy appearance was in "Gene, Techno-Explorer Part 3" where Gene and Lenny help to save her wand from a troll. She seems to have made good friends with the leprechauns since she lived with them after she lost her wand. It's unknown if they still are after she got it back.
